I’m getting divorced. Why would I want to hear about your wedding day? Because I do.
You’re getting married and can’t wait.
I’m almost divorced.
You seem uncomfortable discussing your wedding day even though I can see the excitement.
Please tell me.
Tell me about how you’re spending every spare minute going over flower arrangments, seating charts, music, speeches, and more. Tell me how happy and excited you are to get married to the person you love more than anything in the world.
P;ease tell me. Even though I’m getting a divorced.
Why would I want to know? Because surely this would remind me of my failed marriage, right. Nope. I still believe in love. I still love love. I still believe in marriage.
Even though mine didn’t work out.
My wedding day was perfect. Absolutely everything turned out amazing and I still, 10 years later, receive compliments on how awesome it was. And I agree. It was a beautiful winter wonderland day. Turns out, that’s the easiest part. More about that later.
It should be the most magical day of your life and I WANT to hear all about it. Please know that I hope for the absolute best wedding day and marriage for you.
And maybe again for myself one day.
Until then, I want to hear all about love. Real love.
